Ingredients and spices that need to be Make ready to make Paneer Tikka Masala:

  1. For Paneer tikka marination:-
  2. 200 gm paneer, cut into cubes
  3. 2 tbsp roasted gram flour (besan)
  4. 1/2 cup curd
  5. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  6. 2 tsp kasmiri red chili powder
  7. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1 tsp roasted cumin coriander powder
  9. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  10. 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  11. 1 tbsp mustard oil
  12. 1 tsp dry mango powder (amchur powder)
  13. 1 tsp ajwain
  14. 1 tsp lime juice
  15. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  16. as per taste Salt
  17. 1 onion cut into diced
  18. 1 capsicum cut into diced
  19. 3 tbsp butter
  20. For Tomato Onion Puree for Gravy:-
  21. 1 tbsp oil
  22. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  23. 1 medium size onion cut into diced
  24. 3-4 medium size tomato cut into diced
  25. 2-3 garlic cloves
  26. 1 tbsp ginger
  27. 2-3 green chillies
  28. 3-4 whole kasmiri red chili
  29. 6-7 nos. Cashew nuts
  30. as per taste Salt
  31. For tikka masala gravy:-
  32. 1 tbsp oil + 1 tbsp butter/ghee
  33. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  34. 1 medium size onion finely chopped
  35. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  36. 1 tsp kasmiri red chili powder
  37. Pinch garam masala powder
  38. Pinch salt
  39. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  40. 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  41. as required Reserved tikka marination paste
  42. as Required Tomato Onion Puree
  43. as required Chopped fresh coriander leaves

Steps to make to make Paneer Tikka Masala

  1. To make Paneer tikka:- In a large bowl add paneer cubes along with all tikka marination ingredients and veggies. Mix well and marinated for at least 30 minutes.
  2. After 30 minutes skewers the paneer and veggies alternately and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil on a grill pan and add some butter, grilled the prepared paneer skewers on the grill pan and grilled it until paneer coats light brown on all sides. As it's almost done, to give a smokey flavour, place the tikkas on a wire and roast it to direct flame. You will get that smokey effect. Your tikka are ready. Keep the extra marinade paste aside to be used later in gravy.
  4. Now to make Tomato Onion Puree that will be the base of tikka masala gravy. Heat a pan with oil on medium flame,add cumin seeds when it crackle add all tomato onion puree ingredients and cook for 10-12 minutes or until tomato becomes mushy. Switch off the flame and cool down to room temperature.
  5. Transfer the cooled mixture in grinder jar and grind it to a fine puree and keep it aside.
  6. For making the masala gravy, heat a pan with oil + butter on medium flame, further add cumin seeds and let the seeds crackle, add chopped onion and cook until golden brown. Now low flame and add all powder spices, add 2 tbsp water as well o avoid the masala burning, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Now add tomato onion puree and reserved tikka marinade paste. Mix well and cook for 7-8 minutes on medium flame.
  8. Now add paneer tikka along with veggies to the gravy and mix gently and cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame. Adding hot water to adjust the consistency of the gravy.
  9. Add kasuri methi to amchur powder, some chopped coriander leaves mix gently and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Paneer tikka masala is ready. Serve hot with butter naan or paratha....
