- Salt to taste
- 1.5 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp basil powder
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 cups water
- Béchamel Sauce
- 70 g butter/ margarine
- 4 tbsp wheat flour
- 500 ml warm cow's milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- Layers
- 2 chopped tomato
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 500 g No- boil lasagna noodles. Approx
- 500 g mozzarella cheese
- 1 bunch Coriander, chopped
- 500 g cheddar cheese
Instructions to make to make Lasagna
- In a cooking pot on medium heat, fry the onion in cooking oil until translucent.
Add in the garlic paste and stir for 2 minutes.
Add in the ground meat as well as all the other ingredients for the meat sauce.
Add in 2 cups of water, stir to mix and let it simmer, while covered, on medium low heat for about 45 - 60 minutes.
When the oil floats to the top, this will indicate the meat sauce is ready.
It should not be too runny.

Add another layer of noodles and repeat the process until the top of the casserole dish.


- The layers will look as so, leave some space at the top so that the lasagna doesn't overflow as it cooks.
Cover the top of the dish with foil paper And bake in the oven for 1 hour at 190 degrees Celsius.
- Once the time is done, take it out of the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes before cutting it and eating. Cooling ensures it stiffens up a bit.
